Meet Dr. Fondren

Dr. Eleanor M. Fondren, DMin, LMSW, LADAC is an emerging author and scholar whose work focuses on faith-based recovery, mental health, social justice, addiction recovery, trauma healing, and holistic wellness within underserved communities. Her publications and research efforts are rooted in both professional expertise and lived experiences, allowing her to bring authenticity, compassion, and cultural awareness to every project she develops.
Her scholarly work explores the intersection of Black theology, spirituality, substance use recovery, systemic oppression, and mental health disparities. Dr. Fondren is passionate about creating literature and educational resources that empower individuals, strengthen families, and inspire healing within communities historically impacted by addiction, incarceration, poverty, and trauma.
Through her writing, Dr. Fondren seeks to challenge stigma surrounding addiction and mental health while promoting restoration through faith, education, advocacy, and evidence-based support. Her work emphasizes the importance of culturally responsive care, spiritual resilience, and holistic healing approaches that address the mind, body, and spirit.
Dr. Fondren is also the creator of the recovery-centered framework “Revival, Recovery, Restore, and Renew,” which serves as the foundation for many of her teachings, workshops, coaching programs, and future publications. Her research and curriculum development continue to focus on empowering individuals to reclaim their identity, purpose, and personal strength while navigating recovery and life transformation.
As an advocate for community healing and social empowerment, Dr. Fondren continues to develop educational materials, faith-based recovery resources, mentorship tools, and transformational content designed to inspire lasting change and generational impact.
